CBB reports 74% drop in net profit

Chilean cement producer Cementos Bío-Bío (CBB) saw a 15.3 per cent increase in sales to CLP155,089m in the first half of 2022 when compared with the CLP134,538m reported for the 1H21. Gross profits declined 12.2 per cent YoY to CLP43,268m in the 1H from CLP49,286m on the back of higher distribution and administration costs. In the first quarter of 2022, Chile-based Cementos Bío-Bío (CBB) has reported a 14.4 per cent advance in revenues to CLP77,062m (US$92.8m) from CLP67,373m in the 1Q21, according to Valor Futuro. Chilean cement producer CBB (formerly known as Cementos Bío-Bío) reported a 13.9 per cent advance in revenues to CLP134.538bn in the first six months of 2021 from CLP118.124bn in the 6M20. Chile’s Cementos Bío-Bío saw its profits during the first half of 2016 fall by 10.1 per cent to CLP9168.69m from CLP10,200.19m reported in 1H15. Revenues increased 6.6 per cent from CLP142,479.58m in 1H15 to CLP151,900m.
